Trek Kilmanjaro

The challenging Machame Route combines spectacular views and scenery. Located on Tanzania’s border with Kenya, at 5,895m Kilimanjaro is the highest peak on the African continent, a colossal mountain made of three extinct volcanos. Trekkers have long been drawn to Kilimanjaro, nowhere else on earth are such extremes of climate and vegetation to be seen in a single location. Glaciers spill off its snowbound summit, leading to desert-like screes and open moorland. Its lower slopes are clad in luxuriant rainforest which is home to monkeys, antelopes, and many other animals and birds.

Be a part of the Parity team in 2011! Participants are asked to raise £2,990 in sponsorship. Click for the itinerary, information on preparing for the trek, fundraising advice and an application form.

What's Your Own Personal Everest?

Have you dreamt of doing something but not quite managed to organise or commit to it? It doesn't have to involve climbing a mountain, it could be shedding a few pounds, spending a night in a haunted house, presenting a talk on your favourite subject…If there's a challenge out there for you, Parity can help you conquer it!

Contact us with your idea and we probably have the resources and contacts to make it happen. All we ask is that you do it as a fundraiser for Parity!

See our open challenges page for a few ideas.
