Parity for Disability is a local charity providing vital services, information and support for children and young adults with multiple disabilities, their families and carers throughout Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey. |
||
Parity runs two day centres in Farnborough and Camberley, Easter and summer teenage activity schemes, and a music therapy service that operates both on-site and in homes, schools and other locations throughout the area. If Parity did not exist, the people who use its services would not be able access a quality of life that everyone has a right to expect. People with multiple disabilities often require a high level of support to ensure that their needs in key areas such as education, health and personal development are properly met. Families have difficulty securing appropriate services, equipment and adaptations. We believe everyone with multiple disabilities should have the opportunity to reach their potential and be included in their community. Parity’s pioneering services assess each individual’s needs, and provide a stimulating environment in which they can develop and achieve. Parity for Disability’s philosophy of Equality, Dignity and Rights is the driving force behind all that we do. |
